Orlando Stand Down
| Nearly 150 veterans who are homeless benefitted from services provided at the Orlando Stand Down on Saturday, Sept. 27. Volunteers from the Orlando VA Medical Center and several community partners organized at the Downtown Orlando Recreation Center and provided services for homeless veterans including haircuts, showers, medical screenings, enrollment and applications for VA benefits. The Stand Down is an integral part of the Orlando VA Medical Center’s “Health Care for Homeless Veterans” program, which has a mission to end homelessness among veterans through outreach efforts |
