Welcome to the webpage for the PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program at the Orlando VA Medical Center.
The Orlando VA Medical Center (VAMC), one of seven facilities in the VISN 8 Healthcare System, serves more than 100,000 Veterans in Central and East Central Florida. The Orlando VAMC is currently comprised of three Outpatient Clinics (OPC) located at Lake Baldwin, Viera, and Daytona Beach; four Community-based OPCs located in Clermont, Leesburg, Kissimmee, and Orange City; two annexes in Lake Nona and on South Semoran Blvd.; and a Community Living Center (CLC) and Domiciliary located on the Orlando VAMC’s new Lake Nona campus. In 2015, the Orlando VAMC will open a new hospital and clinic on its Lake Nona campus, which is located in southeastern Orlando. The hospital is part of Orlando’s Medical City, a $500 billion medical conglomeration that includes a number of research facilities, hospitals and treatment centers, and The University of Central Florida College of Medicine.
Our program offers a range of experiences to support resident growth and professional development. We tailor each resident’s experience to provide the training and opportunities required to meet ASHP requirements as well as the individual resident’s professional and educational goals.
We wish you the best of luck in your search for a program that fits your individual needs and career goals.
