The new Orlando VA Medical Center is located on a 65-acre campus in southeast Orange County.  The 1.2 million square foot facility cost $600 million to construct.  The medical center will have a large multispecialty outpatient clinic, 134-inpatient beds, 120-community living center beds, a 60-bed domiciliary and administrative and support services.  The VA is co-located with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, the Burnham Institute, the University of Florida Academic and Research Center and Nemours Children’s Hospital in the Lake Nona area known as the "Medical City".

The Orlando VA Medical Center continues to activate clinics and services at the new medical center in Lake Nona. The first primary care team began seeing patients at the new facility on Feb. 24.  Over the past month additional services have been activated at the medical center in Lake Nona. These new services include audiology, dental, eye clinic and four primary care physicians. A Recruitment Center is also open at the facility to provide information for potential employees.

The Recruitment Center provides a "one stop" location for potential employees to find out information about applying for jobs at the Orlando VA Medical Center.  Human Resource Specialists, Nursing Recruiters, and Physician Recruiters are located at the Center and are available to provide information and assistance.  They are located on the Hospital Building fourth floor. For more information contact the Recruitment Center at 407-631-0005. Volunteers are stationed at the facility to assist with directions.

As the transition process continues, patients will be contacted by our Scheduling Transition Team when your provider is schedule to move. These calls and correspondence will provide important details on your respective provider moving to Lake Nona. If you have any questions regarding the transition process please see a clerk at any clinic or contact the Scheduling Transition Team at 407-646-4181.
