General Description

The William V. Chappell, Jr. VA Outpatient Clinic provides a broad range of general and specialized medical, dental, surgical, psychiatric, nursing and ancillary services.  This clinic serves acutely and chronically ill eligible veterans.  Our veteran patient population requires a complexity of care that ranges from minor healthcare needs to urgent care.   

Driving Directions

From I-95, take the International Speedway Boulevard (Highway 92) East exit. Continue on Highway 92/ISB for a couple of miles and turn left at Clyde Morris Boulevard. (Clyde Morris Boulevard is the first stop light past K-mart on your left.) Go to the third light and take a left onto Dunn Avenue. Drive west to National Health Care Drive. The clinic is the first building on the right.

Services Available

Procedures or specialty care not provided by this clinic are referred to the Gainesville or Lake City VA Medical Centers.  Veterans who are diabetic are able to access timely eye screening for retinopathy via a Teleretinal screening program. Also available is individual speech therapy from Gainesville VAMC.  A Registered Dietitian in Daytona Beach provides a monthly group education session – Hypertension/Lipid for veterans in Leesburg, St. Augustine, Valdosta and The Villages CBOCs.  Telehealth is also available.
