National Salute to Veteran Patients Week Kicks Off Feb. 10
Music, comedy and ceremony will headline events Feb. 10 – 16 during the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Salute to Veteran Patients week at the Orlando VA Medical Center.
ORLANDO, Fla. – Music, comedy and ceremony will headline events Feb. 10 – 16 during the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Salute to Veteran Patients week at the Orlando VA Medical Center.
A full week of events centers on Feb. 14 with VA’s popular Valentines for Vets program. Individuals, Veterans groups, military personnel, civic organizations, businesses, schools, local media, celebrities and sports stars traditionally deliver valentines or visit the more than 98,000 Veterans of the U.S. armed services who are cared for every day in Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) medical facilities, outpatient clinics, domiciliaries, and community living centers.

Feb. 10, 2 p.m. - BINGO with Military Order of Cooties Auxiliary
Feb. 11, 11 a.m. - Klutz the Clown
Feb. 11, 2 p.m. - Music with Dave Steffan
Feb. 12, 2 p.m. - BINGO with Orlando Elks
Feb. 13, 2 p.m. - BINGO with the Vietnam Brotherhood
Feb. 14, 2 p.m. - Suzie Gamm performs
Feb. 16, 11 a.m. - Winter Park H.S. JROTC
Feb. 16, 11 a.m. - Ladies tea party with the American Legion
Feb. 16, 2 p.m. - Table games with S.A.L.T. (Serve and Love Together)
This is a great time for Americans to show their appreciation to Veterans all year by volunteering their time or donating to VA medical facilities throughout the year. No medical experience is necessary and volunteers are encouraged to share ideas how they would like to give back using their unique skills.
