Orlando VAMC to hold Healthcare Town Hall Meeting Sept. 24

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orlando VA Medical Center will host a healthcare Town Hall Meeting Wednesday, Sept. 24 from 4 to 6 p.m. at its Lake Baldwin campus. The event is open to Veterans and their families, congressional stakeholders, Veteran Service Organizations, the media, and other Veteran-based community partners.

VA Secretary Robert McDonald has directed all VA healthcare and benefits facilities to conduct town halls by the end of September, so Veterans may communicate with their healthcare facilities directly, and provide feedback on their experiences with VA care. The goal is to increase communication between Veterans and the Orlando VAMC that fosters quality feedback and specific suggestions on how the medical center can better serve its Veterans. VA leadership will be present for direct discussions, and the medical center will provide resources and experts in offering services valuable to Veterans. The Lake Baldwin pharmacy will remain open throughout the event.

Doors will open in Auditoriums A and B at 3 p.m. for Veterans seeking information and services, and the evening’s program will begin at 4 p.m. Attendees should park in the west parking lot and follow the signs to the auditoriums. The Lake Baldwin campus is located at 5201 Raymond Street, Orlando FL 32803.
