Apopka Veterans invited to attend Outreach event

        All Veterans are invited to attend a Department of Veterans Affairs Outreach event at the Wal-Mart in Deland, Fla., 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 21 at 1699 N Woodland, Deland, FL 32720.  Veterans can get information on VA healthcare enrollment and benefits. Additional information will also be available to Veterans returning from Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and New Dawn. 

 

        VA representatives from the Veterans Health Administration,  Veterans Benefits Assistance, Vet Center and the Florida Department of Veteran Affairs will provide onsite enrollment and claims assistance. 

 

        Transition assistance and case management services are offered to returning veterans with the mission to ensure continuity and improved coordination of health care and benefits for seriously injured or ill service members returning from theaters of combat operations as they transition from DoD to VA Healthcare System.
