Hospice Awareness Day

The Orlando VA Medical center is sponsoring a Hospice Awareness Day for Veterans, families and employees.  Ceremony starts at 7:30 a.m. in front of the Community Living Center. The day of awareness will feature workshops beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Director's Conference Room and run throughout the day.

7:30-8 a.m. A one mile walk departing from the Community Living Center

8:30-9:00 a.m. Welcome

9-10 a.m. Hospice 101- Charlie Antoni - LCSW, Palliative Care Coordinator

10-11 a.m. Maintaining Our Quality of Care-Self Care of the Team - Jim Maudlin - Chaplain North Florida/South Georgia Healthcare System

11 a.m.-Noon Palliative Care: Everything You Wanted to Know but Where Afraid to ask, Charlie Antoni - LCSW, PCC

Noon-1 p.m. Lunch

1-2 p.m. Hospice in the CLC - Bonnie Borniea, RN

2-3 p.m. Spiritual/Emotional Support for Veterans and their Family - Chaplain Kent McCord/Doug Weadick
